Introduction

patchment.jpg

The first point to make is that this website is a financial liability, and I barely sell a book, and with the exception of the Blogs, the most useful words are available for free anyway. Academically speaking, I am completely unqualified to cover the humanities, yet the site is predominantly about philosophy, psychology and general sociological things. I'm a scientist on paper, with a bachelor's and master's degree. However, I am 57, and have struggled with mental illnesses since my teens, triggering the introspection and consequent potential for wisdom that that might allow. Generally, I agree with what I've read of Carl Jung, and followers of his like Dr Jordan Peterson. I say, "what I've read", because I'm functionally illiterate and have therefore read very little. However, I learned to write through years on a poetry course.

Yes, I've been considered cultic I suppose, but mainly in so much as Jung's ultimate position of Protestantism, i.e., every individual is a separate church or god. Specifically, I believe in equally opposite, respecting, individuals (see my "I am" book); not the selfish types, as some have mistaken me for. I'm about people being their genuine selves: the humble reality of truth.

There's no one path through my material, but the said "I am" book holds my central tenets. Enjoy the vidoes, poetry and essays, and email me if you have any questions.

My bottom "line"  ultimately became this -

I think we must return to the subjective, like Christ said, to "be like little children." Through numerous objective studies and undertakings, the broadly subjective, nebulous thread: (the one which relates widest in life) can be found. It's like the result of meditation, or Nirvana. That's why I wrote "Poetic Genesis": a one of many objective examples, but one I can pass on. Please accept it as part of your own root back to the subjective. (See it on Free books). If this was easier and more specific you'd already be there, so Godspeed... And don't shun confounding the objective/logical mind a bit.: Use koans, even. : "what is the sound of one hand clapping?" "What was your face before you were born?"

Ordered quotes from the complete verse of Michael Holme

These quotes stem from twenty years of writing poetry and they demonstrate increasing mental clarity, which ultimately led to that form’s demise with me. Instead, direct non-fiction had to take over. Despite some chronological reordering of these fragments, the chosen presentation is designed to further strengthen an inner cohesion, and they serve as an interesting addition here.
